This, That and the Other...

Okay, this post is LONG overdue and I really have no excuse other than busy! I had an U/S on 7/21 and darn it all – they couldn’t find the heartbeat – so I got to have another U/S and the baby is looking SO much more like a baby!!! And the little arms were moving :) ….soooo cute!!!



I’ve been feeling really great – but at the end of July I did get nauseous a few times before my next acupuncture appt. I guess going 4 weeks was too long between visits. I go back in 3 weeks this time, just to get me over the hump! I know how lucky I am to be feeling good! Here is my current bump! I'm rounding out on top for sure.




My BIG News??? I’M IN MY SECOND TRIMESTER – WHOOO HOOO!!

On July 27th we went to Como Park/Como Town with my Nephews, Sister, Aunt and Mom. The boys had so much fun, as did we :). They are getti:)g SO big, I still can’t believe they are going to be 5 and 7 soon!

I went yard saling (is that a word?) with my friend Lori this weekend – after 6 or so yard sales and after convincing her and her hubby that our babies (she is 3 wks ahead of me) needed Hardee’s for breakfast, we went separate ways and I stopped at one more yard sale. I hit the JACKPOT! I got 33 things for $13.00 and everything was the right season. I was soooo psyched!!! The couple I bought the clothes from didn’t find out what they were having and so had tons of gender neutral clothes, which is exactly what I wanted :) - DH and I agreed that we are not finding out the sex of the baby - extra incentive on pushing day :). This is my favorite - it was just what I was looking for to keep baby all toasty!



When I got home from yard saling, Mike and I painted the baby’s room – light yellow (Lemon Spritz) on top and darker yellow (Bumblebee) on the bottom – it’s perfect :)!! I ordered the chair rail this morning and the baseboard. I have to paint both of those when they come in – but I can’t wait to get the room all together!

Right now my entire office (the soon to be baby’s room) is in our dining room. Normally, who cares, however! our A/C went out today ARRRGGHH – it’s 90 out. So, Mr. Fix-it man gets to see all the glory of our remodel! Oh well. I’m not looking fwd to tomorrow – there was a burnt smell coming from the A/C – so something has burned out and the unit is 18 years old…I’m smelling $$$ along with that burnt smell :(

And I have to take Dash to the vet in the morning. THAT, is always fun!

My next Dr. appt is August 18th :) hope it goes perfectly! It’s hard to keep positive that everything is okay, when you don’t really have many symptoms! (again, not complaining, just saying!)

7/2 U/S

Sorry it took me so long to get this post out there - but everything went awesome on Friday :) We got to see the heartbeat again and it was our last appointment up in Woodbury (sniff, sniff) But we did get lots of well-wishes, and when we have Baby, and send them his/her stats, we get on the list for the annual birthday party - how cool is that? They have a huge party in October every year to celebrate all the births!

I had another appt yesterday with my OB - my first visit with her. She was a little late, since she had a delivery! But we had a great appt - got to hear his/her heartbeat, it was so fast and cute! My OB is awesome and said we can come back in 2 weeks to keep us reassured everything is going well and on track, since we'd been through so much to get pregnant - how awesome is that? So my next appt is the 21st. We could tell that Baby has grown at this appt, but I don't have any clear pics from yesterday. They gave us a bunch of books/magazines on everything. She said that I'm not high risk and have no indications of anything she is concerned about. I'm so excited!!! I still have days that I'm like OMG - I'm pregnant! and don't believe it. But it's a little more real, now that we've seen the baby three times and things are on track.

Everything is perfect!!! YAY!!!

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY everything is completely perfect! We couldn't be happier. We have one beautiful little bean in there, growing right on schedule!

I think Mike was a tiny bit sad when he found out it wasn't twins. I know we would have been super excited if it was twins, but I couldn't be any happier than I am right now.

I get to stop my progesterone shots on Wednesday. My next ultrasound is on July 2nd, then I get released to my OB.

First U/S tomorrow

I'm so excited, scared & nervous.

Food things I currently know

Beef Brisket tastes disgusting.
Soft, mushy foods are most appealing.
Little Debbie swiss cake rolls are de-lish.
Mandarin Oranges are my sweet treat friends.
I like yogurt, fruit and nuts in the morning.
I'm hungry and nothing sounds good, then I make food and it's gross.

I feel more nauseous after I eat.

4 days till my ultrasound!!!

Food MMMMMM

Sorry I haven't updated lately, I've just really not had any exciting news to report LOL...I'm all about food these days - but seriously, how is that new? It's not. I love food. :)

So I've been really wanting shrimp, fried shrimp to be exact. I had it on Wed night at a restaurant and then Thurs night wanted more - so went to the store. Got butterfly shrimp home and was all excited, then flipped it over and it didn't have baking instructions, just fry and pan fry :( then I noticed the expiration date 4/11/2010! And I had bought two packs....:( so they are going back to the store this AM :( I had mashed potatoes, clamato juice and a claussen pickle....salt much??? I went to dinner with friends Friday tonight - guess what I had? HEHEHE :)

I had heartburn last night at 1am after having mexican food last night - and a little nausea yesterday - but nothing uncomfortable.

I got to work yesterday and had no power. ALL WEEKEND. The fridge/freezer was NOT pretty. It smelled SO bad and I had to throw out everything. BLECH. I don't think it was morning sickness that was making me gaggy though lol :) At least the tiny freezer got defrosted though haha!

Tonight we're going to Wine and Dine at Irvine (Park) - Mike calls it Pork in the Park - cause they always have ribs. I guess it will just be Dine at Irvine for me. All that great wine and I can't have any LOL :) It will still be fun and it's for a good cause.

6 days until my ultrasound - SOOOO hope we see EXACTLY what we are supposed to see :)

I also found out that there is a U/S Tech School in the next town - can you say FREE Ultrasounds??? And I heard they spend a long time with you to practice. I'm so signing up for that! :)

BETA NUMBERS

So, I got my beta numbers :) 71 at 13dpo (days past ovulation) and 163 at 15dpo WHOOO HOOOO. The number is supposed to double every 48 hours and mine doubled in 40. AWESOME. The numbers are a little higher than the average, but low for the twin average. But you never know. We may have one in there, may have two. We find out at our first U/S (ultrasound) on Monday, June 21st WHOOO HOOOO! We're SO excited. I just don't believe it's real yet! Mike is so cute, he keeps taking my "What to expect when you are expecting" book. LOL .... Here is one more test...way darker :)
